Catherine is a Chartered Engineer with 12 years’ experience in the energy industry and notable experience in project management and the delivery of high value projects for major operators.
She has extensive experience in the design and numerical analysis of shallow and deepwater riser systems in the North Sea for a range of vessels including jack-ups, semi-submersibles drilling systems and fixed production systems.
Other areas of specialist expertise include the structural analysis of wellheads, conductor and riser systems, wave induced fatigue and vortex induced vibrations for a variety of operations including conductor design, drilling, completion, workover, installation and abandonment.
Catherine has also spent time working as part of a project team in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil performing fatigue analysis on flexible risers manufactured for Petrobras and has extensive experience using Flexcom, OrcaFlex, SHEAR7, WellCat, MATLAB, ANSYS Workbench and 2H’s proprietary post-processing software.
