2H takes a holistic approach to anchor selection to ensure a fit-for-purpose design that integrates with the mooring, power cable, floater, and turbine design requirements. With in-house expertise in all engineering disciplines, we understand the critical drivers for floating wind systems and employ advanced tools and methodologies to ensure the balance between cost and risk is managed from the initial project concept to detailed design and successful offshore installation.

2H has designed all traditional anchor types for floating wind along with various novel anchors enhanced by real-world T&I experience installing anchors for offshore oil & gas and renewable projects.   • In-place design: holding capacity, seismic analysis, side loading / out-of-plane assessments, fatigue analysis, strength and buckling analysis, grout capacity, bearing and sliding assessments, overturning and stability analysis.

  • Transportation and installation design: grillage and seafastening design, loadout and transportation, lifting, driveability (impact and vibro hammers), pile run, noise assessments, suction analysis, penetration and drag assessments, drilling borehole stability and rate of penetration analysis, keying and proof load analysis.

  • Fabrication and construction assessments and planning

  • Transportation & installation planning: vessel specifications, deck layouts, installation tooling specifications, marine spreads, storyboard and installation procedures.
