Tahiti Riser Monitoring Equipment Shipped to Houston

2H Offshore’s riser monitoring project for Chevron’s Tahiti has moved into its next phase. The SCR monitoring equipment was shipped from the company’s headquarters in London to its Instrumentation Facility in Houston this week.

The system, which will be used on Chevron’s Tahiti Project, is the first of its kind in the industry. It utilizes 2H’s field-proven INTEGRIpod™ and INTEGRIstick™, and a state of the art on-line monitoring system to gather riser response information. The system was designed and the equipment supplied by 2H in London and is now on location in Houston for further development and testing before deployment in the Gulf of Mexico in early 2008.
