2H Offshore recently participated in the first Acteon knowledge sharing event of 2015 on the topic of drilling through jackets. The event was jointly hosted by Acteon companies 2H, Claxton and Pulse at the Clarion Hotel in Stavanger, Norway, and attracted over 20 personnel from companies in the region including Statoil, BG Norge, BP Norge, Centrica and Total.

The presentations included:

Considerations for Operators when Drilling through Jackets – Ann Vicens, Product Leader – Structures, Claxton Engineering

An Approach to Validate Fixed Platform Drilling Operations Using Real Time Measurements – Paul Hopkins, Principal Engineer, 2H Offshore

Jackup Drilling Through Jackets: How Monitoring Systems Can Enhance Structural Integrity – Eivind Vethe, Business Development Manager, Pulse Structural Monitoring

The event provided participants with an interactive forum to discuss issues facing the industry and to share key learnings. The discussions around the presentations were engaging, giving both presenters and participants useful insights on the topics covered.

Paul Hopkins commented, “These knowledge sharing events are a great way to engage with our clients and understand the problems and issues that they are currently addressing. Our Norwegian clients are certainly facing some market challenges but the turnout to this seminar shows that the interest in our offering remains high.”
