2H Offshore Celebrates 300 Employees Worldwide

2H Offshore, an Acteon company, is celebrating the achievement of reaching 300 employees worldwide this month. The company, which was established in 1993 in London, UK by Dr. Hugh Howells and Steve Hatton has grown steadily over the past 20 years.

2H now has offices in 7 locations around the globe, including London, Aberdeen, Kuala Lumpur, Perth, Beijing, Houston and Rio de Janeiro.

Dr. Hugh Howells, Principal Director of 2H, said, “Employing talented people has been the key to our success over the past 20 years. We continue to attract and retain many highly qualified individuals that benefit 2H with their technical knowledge and diverse educational and cultural backgrounds. Reaching 300 employees worldwide, with over 80% of our staff being engineers is a huge accomplishment for 2H. We now have the manpower and technical capability to take on larger riser engineering projects, whilst also ensuring we provide the high level of service and attention to detail that our clients have come to expect, in the many diverse smaller projects we conduct”.

This year also marks the company’s 20th anniversary as riser and conductor engineering specialists in the oil and gas industry. Over the past 20 years, 2H has designed many complex riser systems for major offshore developments around the world including the first tow-out bundled hybrid riser concept for Girassol in Angola and the deepest ever TTRs for Devil’s Tower. 2H is currently managing the detailed design and delivery management of the riser systems for Chevron’s Big Foot development, and top tensioned riser systems for the Total Moho Nord TLP, offshore Congo. 2H is also taking a leading role in managing integrity and engineering life extension of riser systems on aging production platforms and ensuring the fitness-for-purpose of wellhead and conductor systems being used in increasingly challenging applications.
