2H Awarded Mooring Line Monitoring Project Rio de JaneiroNovember 2007 2H Offshore have begun work on the design and supply of a mooring line monitoring system for delivery at the end of October 2008. The monitoring system will measure the response of 9 mooring lines in a water depth of approximately 1700m off the coast of Brazil. The monitoring system consists of chain tension sensors that communicate acoustically with the turret, the topside data communication link, mooring line response evaluation software and data display. All equipment will be supplied from 2H’s UK instrumentation facility using mostly standard components from 2H’s INTEGRI™ range of monitoring equipment.
