Senior Engineer
Omar is a chartered engineer with deep experience in the engineering & execution of shallow water assets, including platforms, risers, umbilicals and flowlines. He has executed several platforms in the Middle East and West Africa, and led the concept engineering of assets in the North Sea, Qatar and South America. He has also supervised multiple academic papers in collaboration with UCL, on topics ranging from connector fatigue performance studies to cost modelling of minimum facility assets.
As a key member of the platforms engineering team, Omar’s focus is on the development of minimal facilities platforms in the European, Middle Eastern and African markets. He has delivered webinars and seminars on marginal field developments and minimum facility platform design & installation. Omar is a graduate of UCL, with a first-class honours bachelor’s and masters in mechanical engineering.
