Group Management Accountant APAC – Kuala Lumpur

2H Offshore is a leading independent international consultancy at the forefront of offshore and subsea engineering. We specialise in three main areas:

  • Subsea risers, umbilicals, cables and conductors
  • Minimum facility platforms & subsea structures
  • Fixed & floating wind, wave & tidal structures

Our work involves the system design, structural and dynamic analysis, fabrication, installation management and integrity management of these structures for the offshore renewables and oil and gas industries.

With the current energy transition, continued growth, and expansion into new markets, 2H Offshore is looking to add a Group Management Accountant who will be responsible for the preparation, review, and control of financial management reports for regional operating entities as well as helping with the accurate reporting of actuals & forecast data onto the Acteon Group reporting platform. This role reports to the Global Finance Director.

The goal is to contribute to the decision-making process of management to ensure business resilience and long term sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare timely and reliable management accounts for operating companies on a monthly basis
    • Profit and loss
    • Balance sheet
    • Accrued income/work in progress
    • Fixed assets/depreciation
    • Accruals, prepayments, and intercompany balances
    • Bank reconciliations
  • Maintain and control the accounting system to ensure that accounts are effectively managed and information is produced to a high quality
  • Investigate variances against budgets and provide narrative and analysis of differences
  • Work with the management team to produce monthly forecasts and annual budgets
  • Support management team’s financial analysis of regional entities
  • Review inter-company billing
  • Review payroll information including individual salary, and statutory payments
  • Liaise with the bank on banking-related matters including AP and AR matters
  • Management of taxation requirements such as corporate and withholding taxes including liaising with tax and customs authorities as required to reconcile and ensure reporting is in accordance with the latest legislation/statutory requirements
  • Financial audit support including liaising with auditors
  • Management of finance team in APAC
  • Any other duty as required

Requirements

  • Qualified or part-qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA
  • At least 8+ years’ management accounting experience preparing and issuing management accounts
  • Ledger experience
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office including strong knowledge of Excel
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV
  • Experience with developing JET reports
  • Highly organised and able to work on own initiative
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and establish own timetables where necessary
  • Experience with managing people
  • Ability to work in a challenging, international environment within the oil and gas market
