Director – Paris

With the current energy transition, continued growth and expansion into new markets, 2H Offshore is seeking a highly driven Director to be responsible for growing a region of our business in Europe. The Director will have overall accountability for all aspects of our Paris office for 2H and its parent company Acteon and will report to the 2H managing director.

The successful candidate will be a leader capable of building and nurturing a new regional office as well as aligning with counterparts in other regional offices to drive and develop growth. The role will also include a spearheading function to represent the service offerings of other business segments in the Acteon group. The position will be expected to deliver the agreed budget, ensure the smooth day to day running of the office, development of the team and strategic growth for the office as well as providing the necessary support for growth initiatives for 2H and other operating companies in Acteon.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the company’s local business and technical sales activities, including:
    • Business development in the 3 market sectors pursued by 2H and Acteon: oil and gas, renewables and marine construction
    • Developing proposals and negotiating the contracts
    • Be client-facing with existing and new accounts in the oil and gas industry
    • Participate and leverage connection in French professional bodies for oil and gas and renewables
  • Accountable for the safe and satisfactory execution of all projects/workstreams within the business unit
  • Responsible for local office administration to ensure all legal obligations for HR are met
  • Work with local and global management teams to develop the regional office and meet growth targets
  • Lead and supervise the local technical team including:
    • Managing technical projects
    • Approving technical documents
    • Distributing tasks and balancing workload
    • Developing the skills of the employees
    • Ensuring a high level of commitment
    • Monitoring and reporting on the company’s regional activity
  • Financial monitoring and reporting to the parent company, including actuals, forecasting and annual budgeting
  • Applying company policies and ensuring full commitment to compliance, QMS and HSE processes

Requirements

  • At least 10-15 years’ experience in the oil and gas or renewables sectors
  • Existing network of contacts within operators and tier-one contractors, and familiarity with the renewables industry
  • Highly organised and able to work on own initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and establish own timetable
  • Ability to work in a challenging, international environment within the energy sector
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Located in Paris or able to work remotely and make frequent trips to Paris
