Data Scientist – Houston

A new position has arisen in our Houston office for a Data Scientist to help design and construct a computing solution for predictive maintenance based on measured/numerical datasets. You will be responsible for using data science solutions for a range of engineering problems.

  • Apply statistical modelling techniques for design and integrity analysis
  • Analysis using state-of-the-art commercial and in-house software
  • Prepare proposals
  • Prepare technical deliverables including reports
  • Interface with clients through technical presentations and meetings


  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, such as statistics, computer science, economics, mathematics, engineering or operations research
  • Advanced degree in statistics (or related field) with an engineering background preferred
  • Experience with machine learning, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis techniques, especially deep learning (including artificial neural networks)
  • Proficiency with Python (including TensorFlow and/or other Python machine learning libraries), MATLAB, or other statistical analytics software and familiarity with subsea infrastructure desired
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire to take responsibility and ownership of tasks
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A desire to develop career and expertise in the oil and gas industry
  • Must be eligible to work in the US.
  • Available to start January 2019.
