2H Opens New Office in Edinburgh to Support Offshore Renewables

2H is excited to announce the opening of a new office in Edinburgh, Scotland, dedicated to supporting the fast-growing offshore renewables sector.

30 Sep 2025

The office will be led by Phil Ward and Elaine Whiteley, both of whom have recently returned to the UK after six years in 2H’s Houston office. Originally based in our Aberdeen office, Phil and Elaine bring with them a wealth of global experience and a strong connection to the UK energy industry.

Establishing a base in Edinburgh brings us closer to our offshore wind clients and partners in Scotland and across the UK, enabling us to collaborate more effectively and provide specialist engineering expertise more easily.

“Our new Edinburgh office reflects the expected continued growth of offshore renewables in the UK and our commitment to supporting the energy transition with the same technical expertise we’ve brought to many of the flagship fixed and floating wind projects in the UK and Europe,” said 2H’s UK Director, Alex Rimmer.

“With Phil and Elaine leading the team, we are well-positioned to build strong local relationships and deliver innovative solutions for the offshore wind industry.”

This expansion highlights 2H’s commitment to the energy transition and strengthens our presence in a region that is at the heart of offshore wind development.

Our Edinburgh office is located at 6 Waterloo Place, Edinburgh, EH1 3EG.
