2H is pleased to announce the appointment of two senior technical authorities to support the company’s strategic growth, Philippe Jean, Technical Authority Hydrodynamics, and Dr Paul Jukes, Technical Manager Pipelines and Flowlines.
8 Aug 2024
This marks an exciting time for 2H as its engineering team grows to support increasing project demand in offshore pipelines and floating energy systems.
Philippe Jean | Technical Authority Hydrodynamics | Paris
Philippe Jean has joined 2H’s Paris office as Technical Authority Hydrodynamics. He brings with him 25 years of experience in concept engineering for floating production systems having held positions with Ocergy, SBM Offshore and the French Navy.
Philippe will be responsible for expanding 2H’s technical expertise in floating system design for oil & gas, floating wind, OTEC, wave energy and mooring systems and is tasked with developing innovative technology solutions to drive future growth in the offshore energy sector. In addition, he will be a key technical advisor providing support to 2H’s projects globally.
Philippe possesses an MSc in ocean and subsea engineering and has an impressive track record in technology development that includes the first deep water polyester moorings, steel deep water offloading export systems, a largescale FLNG turret and wave energy converter. More recently, Philippe was responsible for the design, build and operation of an innovative data collection buoy, which monitors real-time wind, waves, birds and marine mammals in preparation for the AO6 floating wind farm, offshore France.
Dr Paul Jukes | Technical Manager Pipelines & Flowlines | Houston
Dr Paul Jukes joins 2H’s Houston office as Technical Manager of Pipelines & Flowlines. With over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, he brings extensive expertise in pipelines, flowlines, subsea structures, advanced engineering and integrity management.
Paul will lead 2H’s subsea pipeline and flowline projects globally along with providing technical support, training and mentorship. His appointment will help position 2H as a recognised leader in subsea pipelines and flowlines.
Paul has held senior positions at companies such as MCS Kenny/Wood, JP Kenny/Wood, Pond & Co., Kiefner and Associates, and his own venture, The Jukes Group.
