2H Offshore, an Acteon company, celebrates five years of working in Aberdeen this year. The employees marked the occasion with a day of outdoor activities in the Highlands of Scotland at the end of May.
The company’s Aberdeen office was established in January 2010 and has seen continual growth to 20 employees over the last five years. The team has supported projects in a number of the primary offshore basins around the world, but primarily focuses on operations in the North Sea and Norway. High profile projects in the North Sea that 2H Aberdeen has recently been involved in include EnQuest’s Kraken, Chevron’s Alder, Xcite’s Bentley and Premier Oil’s Solan and Catcher developments.
2H Aberdeen has established itself as a market leader in the analysis of drilling and completion operations both from fixed and floating structures, and in platform conductor integrity assessments for both upcoming and ageing assets. Extensive well conductor fatigue work has been performed for various clients operating in the harsh conditions in the region, which has led to 2H Aberdeen taking a prominent role in refining the use of structural monitoring as a fatigue mitigation strategy.
Phil Ward, director of the Aberdeen office, comments, “It has been a truly rewarding experience to witness the growth of the office since it opened in 2010. We established a local presence to enhance our support to all of the major operators and contractors based in the Aberdeen area. The office is well placed to continue to provide that support throughout this challenging period for the industry, and aims to help clients maximise the value of their current and prospective North Sea assets.”
The office is located at Tern Place House, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen, AB23 8JX, along with various other Acteon companies.
